**Friday Favorites** {1.5.2023}
Happy Friday, Friends!! Happy New Year!!
Per the usual, I’m linking up with the blogs AlittlebitofEverything and Momfessionals and sharing my favorite things from the week.
We started off our New Year’s Eve festivities at Mom & Dads. We ordered in pizzas and salad. Papa and Jojo came over too! We played lots of games, and we all had loads of fun!
We did sparklers and shot off fireworks too!
We watched lots of football. So happy for TCU!! Great game! The GA/Ohio State game was intense, and it was crazy how the countdown to the new year coincided with the field goal kick.
The next morning, we slept in a little bit and played some Guess Who.
I put some collard greens on to cook, and we went on a nice walk through our woods.
Early that evening, we went back over to my parents. My Dad wanted Addison to practice shooting her BB gun. She was super excited to hit a can.
We had all the delicious New Year’s meal necessities. Do you guys eat pork, peas, and greens where you live on New Years?
On Monday, Addison and I headed to meet Caroline and all her girls for lunch. Her niece tagged along, and we were so excited to hang with LK too!
We had made plans to take the girls to the park, but the weather was not being cooperative. So, we took them to Catch Air, which is like a huge indoor playground. Love my friend! The girls had a blast!
If I spun around on this thing like they were, I would have thrown up.
Caroline and the twins went down the slide multiple times.
These were sweet of them all sliding together.
And then spinning around and around on the seahorse merry go round. Caroline looks so enthused. “Mom, go faster!” LOL
Addison stayed with my Mom on Tuesday while I went and got my hair did. I ran by this hometown coffee shop and grabbed a ‘Lil Deb’. It was the cutest thing ever with a little Debbie Christmas tree on top. I would be tempted to get one daily just for the Christmas tree. Haha!
After my hair appointment, Mom brought me Addison, and we headed to meet up with Cindy and Adalynn for lunch….
And then to Stars and Strikes to do some bowling. Addison loved the music.
Then they had an hour of arcade play time. Their faces on the one ride was cracking me up.
Wednesday, we didn’t do a whole lot. I worked on cleaning, a little organizing, and then I dropped off Addison with Penny to spend the night. I headed to grab a few things at Target. #wheninrome 😉
Joey was off work yesterday, so it was nice having him at home. I ran to the grocery store, and he started working on cleaning vehicles and some yard work. The weather was nice for January.
I met up with Penny with the girls and Cindy joined us at the town Ice Skating Rink. They’ve never been roller skating or anything, so we were a little hesitant.
We started off with the dolphin.
Here’s a video I snagged right before she slipped.
I also snagged this video quickly. She kept getting a little more confident. We were super proud of how brave they were. I remember the last time I went ice skating, I almost broke an ankle. That was in college. If I tried now, I’d probably break a hip.

Addison’s favorite hair brush is on sale right now for $7, regular $12. It’s the only thing we can use that doesn’t hurt when brushing her hair.
My favorite meat chopper is on sale for 56% off! I use this thing when cooking ground beef, ground sausage, or ground turkey! It’s the best!!

That’s all for today…. We are going to enjoy our last weekend before going back to school and work on Monday! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I’ll see you back here on Monday!
