*Let’s Look at…. How I Schedule/Organize a Busy Family + 2022- Year in Review* {1.11.2023}

Hey Everyone! So, today’s post is going to be verrry long. I apologize now because I originally had the year in review scheduled, but then I realized it’s really Let’s Look link-up, so why not just do both. #oy

On the second Wednesday of every month, I join a little link up party. Today, it’s a short one, and I can’t wait to read other people’s ideas. I’m linking up with Shay from MixandMatchMama and Erika from ALittleBitofEverything and talking about how I schedule and organize a busy family.

So, even though there are only three of us, and we only have one child, I feel like we are always very busy. It can even get overwhelming at times. Joey has lots of going on at his main job and then extra HVAC jobs and other business things outside of his work. He leaves the house about 5 in the morning and arrives back home anywhere from 4 to 9, depending on what he has going on that day.

I am all hands on deck getting us to sports practice, doctor’s appointments, meetings, and anything else that we have going on. I have a calendar on the back of our pantry door that I write in. I color code everything, so I can easily spot who has what going on.

I also write in my Erin Condren planner which makes me very happy and gives me great joy. If it’s some type of appointment, I will put it on the calendar, on my phone. That’s pretty much it! What do you all do?

Now, here is the list of prompts for the year.

Okay, now I’m getting in to the rest of the post. I’m sorry it’s a little crazy.

I’m going to try really hard to schedule new posts on Monday, Wednesday and Friday each week. If I need to change that, I will try to let ya’ll know ahead.

Let’s take a little look back to 2022. If you’re new here, this should get you all caught up with what’s happened over the last year.

January

Last year, in January, we were finally able to go to the rescheduled Reba concert. We had so much fun! She’s a queen!

We celebrated our favorite guy with a delicious dinner and spending quality time together.

We had a little bit of snow and took advantage of some sledding time.

February

Last February, we had an adventurous month. We started out with going on a field trip with one of my work besties.

Cindy and I took the girls to an Elsa Princess Makeover session. They had the best time! It was super cute.

Our little cutie had a fun Valentine’s day.

They had a sleepover party in the playroom.

Then, Cindy and I took them on a trip to Tennessee during our February break.

I remember us doing some bike riding lessons.

March

In March, we started off celebrating Dr. Seuss’ birthday!

Addison was learning to ride her bike and doing so well.

Her and Joey got to have a Daddy/Daughter Date Night. It was so sweet.

And, we started gymnastics. The girls were doing great! Addison loved it, but on her first official day of class…..

She was jumping on the tumble track, landed wrong, and broke her tibia. So, everything had to be halted. No more gymnastics, no soccer, and no school until we figured out how to get her around. She couldn’t use crutches, and she couldn’t put any weight on it.

She was such a trooper though. She had to be carried everywhere.

We decided to go ahead and move forward with our camping trip. The wagon was great for transporting.

The jogger stroller became our main form of transporting.

April

In April, Addison transitioned to a leg brace. So, we were able to go to the beach and just take the brace off and on for swimming!

Then, poor girl can’t catch a break, she had to have tubes put in and an adenoidectomy.

We had a great Easter!

And a fun day trip to the mountains.

May

In May, we had some sweet Mother’s day celebrations.

We went and picked strawberries.

Addison had her Spring recital.

We had a sweet TK graduation program. Look at that doll face.

And, we went on a quick camping trip for Memorial day weekend.

June

In June, we celebrated my Papa turning 92.

We did another round of swim lessons with Mrs. Debbie. We love you Debbie!

We went on a fun, family beach trip!

July

We had so much fun celebrating the 4th of July! It was a hot one!

We had fun at the aquatic center with friends.

We went on another short beach trip.

Addison and I went to the lake house for a little girls getaway before the school year started.

August

We had a great start to the new school year. Addison started Kindergarten!

We started back playing soccer.

September

Mom, Addison, and I went on a little day trip to our favorite online boutique and had a delicious lunch.

Addison celebrated Grandparent’s day!

Joey and I celebrated our 10 year Anniversary by flying to St. Lucia for a week. It was so amazing and beautiful! We relaxed, ate lots of food, hiked, and even rode in a helicopter back to the airport. You know I don’t like heights, but it was so much fun!

October

We did all the Fall things. We went to the Apple Orchard.

We participated in our first 5K together.

We had so much fun at the county fair!

I went on a field trip with Addison to the Art Barn.

We went to the coolest pumpkin patch.

We had such an exciting Halloween!

November

We started off the month celebrating Addison turning 6 by going to the Georgia Aquarium!

We enjoyed a Thanksgiving feast and program at Addison’s school.

I went on a little girl’s getaway back to our college town. We had some amazing pizza that I still dream about and so many laughs.

And, we had a great Thanksgiving with family.

December

We had so much fun this month! We did lots of parades and going to look at different lights.

We went and had a visit with Santa.

Addison danced in her Christmas performance.

She started basketball.

We had our annual Jammy Cocoa Christmas night.

And, of course, we celebrated Jesus’ birth and Christmas.

Whew! What a YEAR! Thank you for being here! I’m excited to see what 2023 has in store and praying it’s a great one! See you on Friday!
