  • **Friday Favorites** {12.20.2024}

    Whoa! How did we get here so quickly?!? I can’t believe it’s December 20th! Today will be my last post of 2024 because we have so many fun things packed in the next week.  Like the norm, I’m linking up with the blogs AlittlebitofEverything and Momfessionals and sharing my favorite things from the week. On Monday, we had Tacky Christmas sweater day. I was cracking up at our counselor, Krystal’s outfit. The gift boxes really did it for me. Hahaha!  I was loving that Laurie and Bree arrived having on the same sweater just in a different color scheme.  Then you have my sweater that’s just barely hanging on. lol Lilly and I were…

  • **Christmas Home Tour** {12.18.2024}

    Happy Wednesday! Today I’m sharing a little Christmas Home tour.  This is just some snippets of my favorite things.  Most of my decor is many years old from Hobby Lobby, Kirklands, and some other random boutique shops.  Here is a pic of my tree… I’ve got to get to wrapping.  These special handmade ornaments are some of my most prized possessions. They are all such favorites, and I love bringing them out every year to relive these years. Just thinking of them now makes me get all weepy.  And I also love, love, love all these hand/thumbprint painted pieces.  Enough of the sap, here’s a pic of our mantle all…

  • **Hello Monday** {12.16.2024}

    Happy Monday friends!! I can’t believe it’s like mid- December, and Christmas is so close. I’m so excited but also a little sad. I want this magical time to slow down. Like the norm, I’m linking up with Holly and Sarah for Hello Monday and sharing a recap of our weekend. It was a busy one.  Bree got these from her neighbor and brought them to share. It was sweet and hilarious. “Ho Ho Ho from your ‘Ding Dong’ neighbor”  Addison had a field trip to see the Nutcracker on Friday. I wasn’t able to go, but some of my sweet teacher friends snapped some pics for me.  Look at these two cuties.…

  • **Let’s Look At… How We Unwind During the Holidays** {12.11.2024}

    Happy Happy Wednesday friends!! How’s your week going? Can you even believe it’s already the middle of December!  Alright, so let’s get to it! On the second Wednesday of every month, I link up with Shay from MixandMatchMama and Erika from ALittleBitofEverything. Today, we are talking about how to unwind during the Holidays. This is not as easy. Especially for this Type A, want to do everything magical, Mama.  I don’t get to unwind a lot around here…. I feel like once I work all day, I have to play catch up in the evenings. So, there’s not a lot of time for unwinding. I’m trying to squeeze all the fun things and…

  • **Hello Monday** {12.9.2024}

    Wow! I can’t believe it’s already December 9th! I know we are having lots of fun, but I’m going to need December to slow down just a bit. I want to savor this time as much as possible.  Like the norm, I’m linking up with Holly and Sarah for Hello Monday and sharing a recap of our weekend. Friday night, Addison had a sleepover. Joey and I went and grabbed some Mexican food, and we were in bed by 9:30. It was wonderful!  We picked her up Saturday morning and headed out to do some Christmas shopping. But first, a Starbucks treat was in order.  We got some shopping done, and at least got…

It’s perfect for this time of year!  Kiss Me At Christmas  Christmas can officially get stuffed because Harriet…

  • **Winter Break Vacation to NC Part II** {2.7.2024}

    Happy Wednesday friends!!  Today, I’m finally getting around to sharing Part II of our Winter vacation. If you missed Part I, be sure to start reading here.  Thursday, we woke up, went to breakfast, and we started exploring the area.  We headed into the town of Blowing Rock to walk around. It was very cute.  After walking around Blowing Rock, we headed driving down the mountain, toward Lenoir, to see the mountains.  We rode out to The Blowing Rock.  It was so neat! The views were amazing! Thankfully it was a clear day.  We walked around some of the trails.  Joey and Addison actually climbed to the top of the…

  • **Winter Break Vacation to NC Part I** {1.24.2024}

    Today, I’m sharing Part I of our Winter vacation, which also happened to be part of Addison’s Christmas present. We left Tuesday, the day after Christmas, and headed to Boone, NC. Joey and I had never been there before, and we saw there was lots to see and do.  It was a chilly drive up, and we ended up stopping to see the Nantahala river just to stretch our legs.  The weather was very dreary when we got to Boone. We headed to the downtown area to walk around for a bit before we checked into our hotel.  The town was cute.  We loved the Mast General store. So many…

  • **Christmas 2023 Recap** {1.10.2024}

    Today is a long post, but I’m sharing all about our Christmas events and gatherings.  I had to work all the way until Friday, December 22nd. It was a teacher workday and thankfully, we were able to leave right around lunchtime.  There was a cute, little Christmas German Market setup in our town. So, we met up with Whitley’s family and had a great time. It was so much fun and lots of things for the kids to do too! Santa was there also! It was a great hit!  Unfortunately, a lot of sickness hit some of our family this year, and we didn’t get to celebrate together. We were…

  • **Friday Favorites** {12.22.2023}

    Happy Happy Friday!! I can’t believe it’s December 22nd and there’s only a few days until Christmas.  Like the norm, I’m linking up with the blogs AlittlebitofEverything and Momfessionals and sharing my favorite things from the week. Whew…. what a jam packed week we have had. The students’ last day was yesterday. Addison is at home with Joey today having all the fun. I am still at school; it’s a work day.  Elfie has been mischievous leaving little tricks this week. Addison cracked up at this one.  Monday evening, we met up with Joey, and my parents tagged along to this awesome Home Alone pop up. Look at all the amazing-ness. It was so…
