**Winter Break Vacation to NC Part II** {2.7.2024}
Happy Wednesday friends!! Today, I’m finally getting around to sharing Part II of our Winter vacation. If you missed Part I, be sure to start reading here. Thursday, we woke up, went to breakfast, and we started exploring the area. We headed into the town of Blowing Rock to walk around. It was very cute. After walking around Blowing Rock, we headed driving down the mountain, toward Lenoir, to see the mountains. We rode out to The Blowing Rock. It was so neat! The views were amazing! Thankfully it was a clear day. We walked around some of the trails. Joey and Addison actually climbed to the top of the…

**Winter Break Vacation to NC Part I** {1.24.2024}
Today, I’m sharing Part I of our Winter vacation, which also happened to be part of Addison’s Christmas present. We left Tuesday, the day after Christmas, and headed to Boone, NC. Joey and I had never been there before, and we saw there was lots to see and do. It was a chilly drive up, and we ended up stopping to see the Nantahala river just to stretch our legs. The weather was very dreary when we got to Boone. We headed to the downtown area to walk around for a bit before we checked into our hotel. The town was cute. We loved the Mast General store. So many…

**Christmas 2023 Recap** {1.10.2024}
Today is a long post, but I’m sharing all about our Christmas events and gatherings. I had to work all the way until Friday, December 22nd. It was a teacher workday and thankfully, we were able to leave right around lunchtime. There was a cute, little Christmas German Market setup in our town. So, we met up with Whitley’s family and had a great time. It was so much fun and lots of things for the kids to do too! Santa was there also! It was a great hit! Unfortunately, a lot of sickness hit some of our family this year, and we didn’t get to celebrate together. We were…

**Friday Favorites** {12.15.2023}
Happy Friday friends!! Did ya’ll have a fun-filled week? Like the norm, I’m linking up with the blogs AlittlebitofEverything and Momfessionals and sharing my favorite things from the week. Monday, we got home from school and Addison wanted to play outside. I told her she had to bundle up. She comes outside like this. lol Monday night consisted of Gingerbread construction. It’s a favorite time around here. I think more candy was consumed that put on the house. Tuesday, Addison was looking extra ‘Joy’ful, so I snapped a picture once we got to school. We didn’t have basketball on Tuesday, but we did have dance. So, we quickly left dance, headed home to change,…

**Christmas Books** {12.14.2023}
Today’s post is all about some Christmas reading! Now is the time to cozy up by the fire, under a blanket, sip hot cocoa and read a good book. There are some books I have already read or am currently reading. Most of them right now have an extra coupon you can clip, so they’re a great deal! I’m currently reading The Christmas Fix. It’s a fun, little read by one of my favorite authors, Lucy Score. She’ll save Christmas just to spite him… There’s only one thing standing in the way of Cat King saving Merry, Connecticut’s Christmas festival: Grumpy town manager Noah Yates. Single dad Noah takes his responsibilities…

**Hello Monday** {12.11.2023
Happy Happy Monday!! Wow! December is flying by! Today, I’m linking up with Holly and Sarah for Hello Monday and sharing a recap of our weekend. Friday morning, Elfie brought Addison a dinosaur egg. So, she was really excited to start digging to find the treasure. Eventually, I told her to leave it; we had to get to school. Merry Sweatshirt from Etsy Friday, our school had field trips to our local college and university. We are so lucky to be so close to Reinhardt U. We all enjoyed the Nutcracker performance. Friday, after school, Addison was back to cracking her egg. She eventually got it open, and it revealed a little ceramic Christmas…

Happy Happy Monday, friends!! What a joyful time it is! Christmas is so magical around our house. Addison is so excited about everything, and I am trying to treasure it all! Today, I’m linking up with Holly and Sarah for Hello Monday and sharing a recap of our weekend. Friday morning, Addison got some reindeer ears from her Grandpa and Granna. She was feeling extra festive on the first day of December. After school, we ran to Target to grab some things. And, of course, grab some things that weren’t probably needed. 😉 Friday night, Elfie arrived. We had our annual North Pole breakfast. We got brinner cleaned up and headed to our…
