  • * Christmas Cheer* {12.4.2019}

    Today, I’m highlighting some things us moms can do to prepare for the Christmas season. I would have loved to have finished this earlier, like in November to help us all remember things we might forget.  But YOU GUYS!  This year/season has snuck up on me.  So, hopefully you’re all ready for the Christmas season, but just in case you’re anything like me and a bit on the struggle bus on December 4th maybe this will come in handy. *** ONLINE SHOPPING*** I used to complete all my shopping in stores and a lot on Black Friday. However, after becoming a Mom and being extremely busy, I complete 90% of…

  • **Thanksgiving Getaway 2019- Part I**

    Happy Monday!! It’s hard to get back into the routine after being off for a week and being gone and getting back into town yesterday afternoon and having to unpack and do loads of laundry…. We decided to go on a little getaway this Thanksgiving up to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. We left Wednesday around lunchtime after Joey got home from work. We took our camper and stayed at a really nice campground. Our cousins were camped right next to us, and we enjoyed talking and playing with them.  Right after we got set up, Addison was ready to ride her new bike.  We walked over to the river for a…

  • Girl’s day for Addison’s Birthday {11.20.19}

    I took off last Friday, and we celebrated Addison’s birthday with a girl’s trip to American girl store and bistro. My sister n’ law, niece, and mother n’ law went with us. The weather was yucky, and the girls insisted on using the umbrella.  They played for a little bit before our reservation.  Then it was time for lunch. The girls were cute “feeding” their dolls.  We took a last picture with the tree then went to ride the carousel.  We had a great day celebrating our little ray of sunshine. See you back here on Friday for Friday Favorites!  xoxo

  • *Seaside Vacay* Part One {Sept. 2019}

    Last week on my week off, we headed down to Santa Rosa Beach, FL to enjoy our last hoorah of the summer! Even though it’s almost October, we still had highs in the 90’s. Get ready for picture overload. 😉  Addison woke up sick that morning, so we got a little later start than we had anticipated.  Here we are at the Florida welcome center.  That night we got unloaded, went to the grocery store and grabbed a pizza. We were beat after the drive.  We got up early the next morning and headed for some sand and sun. 😉  Joey and the big girls did a lot of this,…

  • Back to School {8.7.19}

    I don’t know about you guys, but this getting back into the school routine is kicking my behind.  I’m totally swamped at school/work right now. And there doesn’t seem to be a slow down in sight.  So, this post is going to be short and sweet.  Here’s what we are eating this week.  This is not healthy at all. I’m hoping to get back on track next week or soon, once we get back in the flow.   Sunday: Roast, mashed potatoes, mac n’ cheese (for Addison), Lima Beans, and Peanut Butter cake for dessert Monday: Homestyle Meatballs, fried eggplant, and rice Tuesday: Joey’s Mom invited us for dinner.   • Weekend Recap – {7.29.2019}

    We had a nice weekend. We didn’t do a lot of exciting things but just spending time together was just what this Mama needed.  We started off Friday evening with some jumping time!  Saturday, during the day, we didn’t do a whole lot. Addison loves fruit and this morning she chose banana. She wants to sit in a regular chair now and not in her high chair. Notice it in the background. That makes this Mama’s heart sad. #staylittle That evening, we decided to take a walk. It was a nice night. Our kitty, Giggles, decided to join.  #daddysgirl Here we are ready for church. #sometimesmamasgirl We were pretty lazy…

  • Weekend Recap {7.20.19} – Dollywood

    We had a great, long weekend! It was a last hoorah before I start back to school this week. It always makes me sad, but I love a routine. So, once I get back in the groove it’s not too bad.  We took off Thursday around lunchtime to go camping at Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. We have season passes to Dollywood, so we want to make sure we get our money’s worth.  We got up there and set up just in time to go grab some pizza. Then, we hit up Krispy Kreme. I know someone who wasn’t disappointed. 😉 After dinner, we still had a little time before bedtime, so…

  • Cousin Fun and Prime Day Deals 2019

    We had a fun Monday! I shopped for some things on Amazon that morning and throughout the day that I needed wanted.  😉 I’ll share some of my finds further down.  We went that morning and signed up for dance. We are so excited our cousin Adalynn will be dancing with Addison. I think they’re going to be adorable and hope they’re going to have so much fun!  After dance sign-ups, we went to the pool. We had so much fun, and Addison loved playing with her cousins.  See… cousins really are the best. We love these sweet girls!  And then when we got home…. I mean who goes outside…

  • Weekend Recap ** July 15th Edition **

    Today, I’m sharing a little bit about our weekend. It’s been a great one and easy-going. Just the kind we like.  Today begins Amazon Prime days, which I’m super excited about. I’m hoping they have some good things I need want. 😉 We started off our Friday finishing up swim lessons with Mrs. B. Although she was still hesitant about letting go, she did well (for a 2 year old). She’s kicking in the bathtub and using her swimmy lips when she goes underwater, so I’m taking that as a win!  We attempted to nap after swim lessons, but it wasn’t happening. So, we made our way to our friend’s…
