  • *What’s up Wednesday!* {6.26.2019}

    It’s the last Wednesday of the month. On this day, I link up with Mix and Match Mama and Sheaffer. I  will share a little bit of everything that’s been going on with us right now. 1. What We Are Eating This Week: So, coming off of 2 weeks of really bad food and tons of eating out, I am hoping for a little bit better meal choices and more vegetables. We will see. 😉  Sunday: Refrigerator clean out from vacation. Hodgepodge of Fried Shrimp, Shrimp n’ grits and Crab Cakes Monday: We had vegetables from the garden that were coming in. So, I grilled some chicken. We had Southern Style Green Beans…

  • Beach Vacay Highlights

    So sorry I’ve been out of commission for the past 2 weeks. We were extremely busy with church activities two weeks ago. Last week we headed to the beach for a week of sunshine and relaxation. Therefore, off of blog land.  So, today I’m planning to highlight our week. I hope you can see that I wanted to spend every last minute with my family enjoying our time together.  This was us eating at one of our favorite places, King’s pizza! It is a family owned Grecian restaurant. They have delicious homemade salad dressings. Their pizzas are yummy too!  My shirt is from one of my favorite retailers, Nordstrom. #freeshipfreereturns…

  • A Little of This and That

    So, we have been extra busy this week with church activities every morning and evening. I have also been trying to pack in the few hours that we have available in the afternoon. I am always thankful for Nordstrom and Amazon for Free Shipping and Returns. This makes it so easy to just order items and not have to worry with dragging a 2 year old with me. Ha! #momwin Here’s a top I ordered recently. It’s super cute! It comes in a lot of colors, and the price couldn’t be better!! I love that it’s flowy.  I mean who doesn’t love a peplum top? It has a slight hi-lo fit. Love…

  • Weekend Recap

    We had a busy weekend. It rained off and on all weekend, so we didn’t get a lot of outside time. It’s okay though because we were so busy, we weren’t really at home that much. My friend Katy came down on Friday. We enjoyed some retail therapy and a yummy lunch at a historic sandwich shop in our downtown area. I was able to get some new things at Hobby Lobby that I just had to have. 😉 I always enjoy getting to spend time with my girlfriends. We couldn’t leave Joey out. We had to celebrate our first full week of summer with him too. So, we opted…

  • Friday Favorites!

    We have had a great start to our summer! Despite the weather, we have pool’d hard, gone to the splash pad, hung out with friends, and relaxed. This teacher mama needed this. I don’t know why it seems that in the summer kids are constantly hungry. I look at her and think, we just ate 5 minutes ago. We have had some yummy dinners this week. We have used the grill every night. Sunday- Hamburgers and Hotdogs at birthday party Monday- Grilled chicken, grilled green beans and tomatoes with feta cheese, grilled corn on the cobb Tuesday- Fish tacos with grilled mahi mahi and mango salsa, black beans Wednesday- Kitchen…

  • Summer is Here!

    Summer is finally here!! School is out!! I love this time of year when we can relax, sleep, read some good chick lit,  catch up with friends and family, sleep some more.. Ha!  Who am I kidding… I have a two year old who never stops.  We started off the weekend with lots of fun outside. We went out early because the heat was brutal later in the day.  Doesn’t everyone wear rain boots to play outside.  Giggles was watching something…. ready to pounce at any moment.  Sunday evening we had my Papa’s 89th and my Uncle Bill’s 99th Birthday parties. They have the same birthday just 10 years apart.…

  • My First Blog Post

    So, everyone seems to have a blog these days. I thought I would start one too. Anyone who knows me, knows that I’m not a computer or tech savvy person, so the odds of this blog being really awesome are slim. I just thought it would be something fun to play around with and share my family and life.  Well, since this is the first blog post I’ve ever written I think I should introduce myself. Here is a brief synopsis of “us”… Joey and I went to the same High School, but we didn’t know each other then. I was his sister’s age, and we were good friends. He…
