Vacation

  • **Hello Monday** MB Vacation Part I {6.27.2022}

    Well, Hello Everybody! I’m back after taking a week off. It was wonderful relaxing and spending time with my family, but I’m happy to be back! I’m linking up with Holly and Sarah for Hello Monday and sharing a recap of Part I of our vacation.  We left right after church last Sunday, Father’s day, to head to camp at North Myrtle Beach, SC. My parents had already been there for a week, so we met up with them.  We love this campground, and I have been coming here since I was a toddler. We always see many of the same people every year, and it’s so great! The kids and grandkids have…

  • **Spring Break Vacation Recap** {4.20.2022}

    Hey Hey Guys! I’m back! Today, I’m sharing all about our Spring Break trip from a few weeks ago. We left out Wednesday mid-morning heading South with our fifth wheel camper. We were headed to Carrabelle RV Resort in Florida.  We arrived, got everything set up and headed to get some food by the water. It was nice, but it was windy sitting on the patio.  We headed back and sat by the fire, for a little while, before going to bed early. We were all tired. I did read some in my book though. I really loved this book! I will share more about it on a later post. …

  • **Friday Favorites** {2.25.2022}

    Happy Friday!!! We have had a great Winter Break, and we are getting really sad that it’s almost over. Like the norm, I’m linking up with the blogs AlittlebitofEverything and Momfessionals and sharing our favorites from the week. We thought “Hope” was lost because we hadn’t seen her since we went to the mountains right after Christmas. But, she was just hiding in a secret compartment in our luggage. I wonder how she got there.. Hmmmm…..  We didn’t do a lot on Monday. It was a yucky weather day. I packed for our trip and painted this cuties toes.  Tuesday morning, we were up early and grabbed a tea for the road. I picked…

  • **Girls Trip Recap Nashville** {12.1.2021}

    A few weekends ago, I headed out with some of my favorite girls to Music City. This is a trip we plan for every year, and I always look forward to it. We picked Nashville because of the history and all the things there are to do. I packed my boots and was ready to go.  Unfortunately, one of our girls couldn’t make it. We definitely missed her but tried to still have fun.  We arrived late Friday night and tried to figure out where to park for the hotel. We stayed at the Hyatt Centric right downtown and really liked it. We sat at Valet for about 15 minutes…

  • **Halloween Weekend Getaway** {11.3.2021}

    Last weekend, my Aunt Dot, Mom, Addison, and I took off Friday and headed to the mountains. We went to Pigeon Forge, TN. The weather wasn’t predicted to be very good, so we were a little bummed.  We arrived around 4 and decided to go ahead and have an early dinner at the Local Goat, one of our favorites, since we skipped lunch. Lots of laughs were had.  Addison’s awesome photography skills.  We left there and had so much fun at the Three Bears General Store. Acting crazy with the bear. We rushed back to the hotel because Addison was bugging us to death to go swimming. She had the…

  • **Fall Break Vacation Recap** {10.6.2021}

    A few weeks ago, during our Fall Break, Addison and I went with my parents to Florida. Today, I’m sharing all about our trip.  My Aunt Linda, Uncle Dennis, and cousin Kathy live there. We haven’t visited them since pre Covid, so it was good to actually see everybody.  The weather started off pretty yucky. Addison begged my Mom to put some beads in her hair. She, of course, obliged.  That evening, we met my cousin Kathy and my Aunt Linda for dinner to eat seafood. One of my favorite things about the beach.  Giving her the stare as we drive in the truck. All she wanted to do were…

  • ** Fourth of July Trip Recap Part II** {7.21.2021}

    Happy Wednesday! Last week, while chatting about our trip, I left off on Sunday, the Fourth of July. If you missed Part I, read it here. Today, I’m sharing the second part of our trip. At this point of our trip, the weather is getting really iffy. There is a Tropical Storm/Hurricane heading towards Florida, and at this point the meteorologists are not sure which way it’s going to turn and where it’s going to land. Joey really doesn’t want to be in our camper if there’s a hurricane coming, and I don’t really want to either.  Originally, our plan was to leave Panama City Beach, on Monday, and drive…

  • ** Fourth of July Trip Recap I** {7.14.2021}

    Hey Hey Everybody! How are you all doing on this hump day?  Today, I’m sharing about our beach vacation to the Gulf coast. We left out early on July 2nd. Made a pit stop for breakfast at Cracker Barrel. Do you all have Cracker Barrel’s where you live? We typically stop there for breakfast when we go on trip because they have large spaces for our camper to park.  We ended up reserving a spot at Pine Glen RV Park in Panama City Beach. We had never been there before, and we were a little hesitant. However, we had an awesome site! So much room! There was a nice, large…

  • **Vacation Recap Part II** {6.16.2021}

    Happy Wednesday! Monday, I shared Part I of our chatting about the second part of our week at the beach. If you missed part I, read it here.  So, let’s jump right in. We had lots of fun in the sun on Tuesday. A little too much I guess, because we all got a little toasty. We were just loving it so much we didn’t want to leave.  That night, we went to one of our favorite places, Mr. Fish. I had the shrimp n’ grits. If you go, I highly recommend them. 😉 We ate so much, we wanted to try to walk some of our food off. We…

  • **Hello Monday** Vacation Recap Part I {6.14.2021}

    Hey everybody! I’m excited to be back to the blog world. We had so much fun last week on vacation! Today, I’m sharing Part I of our little getaway. I hope you enjoy. To give a little background, we used to have a 28 foot travel trailer. We loved it! We had it for 5 years and had many great memories in it! Last September, we upgraded to a 42 foot fifth wheel. We love it, but it is long! It’s hard to get in a lot of campgrounds/campsites. We have to be very meticulous in where we go.  We always go on vacation with my parents in June to…
