**Friday Favorites** {9.17.2021}

Well, our week did not start as expected, but I will get into that in a minute.

Like the norm, I’m linking up with the blogs AlittlebitofEverything and Momfessionals and sharing all about our favorites from the week!  🙂

Sunday night, Addison went to bed with a fever. I gave her some Motrin and thought, fingers crossed, she will be better in the morning. Well, Monday morning, she woke up with a fever of 103. So, no school for her and off to the doctor we went. She was pitiful.

It’s a really long story after that. The doctor tested her for strep because her tonsils were so swollen and had the white spots in her throat. They said they would call with the results. That was at 2. By 4, they still hadn’t called. I called down there, left a message for them to call me back. They were to close at 5. At 4:55, I called back down there for the on-line nurse to tell me her strep test came back negative. I was feeling very discouraged because her temperature was still spiking very high. They said they would send it off for a 24 hour culture test and let me know the next day.

That night, her temp got up to 105 in between her doses of medicine. I put ice packs on her and slept in the floor a lot of the night. So, the next morning, I made the decision to go to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Urgent Care. We only had to wait a little over an hour. The doctor thought it also looked like strep. She tested, and it came back negative. Ugh! They determined it was Adenovirus. It would take about 5-7 days to run its course. She had all the symptoms. And since it’s viral, no medicine would really help. 🙁 We were sad but glad to finally have a diagnosis.

We never heard back from her pediatrician which really upset me, but I’m just glad we figured out what it was. So, no school for her for a few days at least.

While at home, we made cookies. She was very proud.

I tried not to shop on Amazon. 😉

By Wednesday afternoon, her fever finally broke. Yay!! We were so happy to have our spunky girl back. She even got a toy.

I enjoyed some Collagen Peptides in my Hello Pumpkin mug on these Fall-like mornings.

My casual crew neck top from Amazon finally came in.

Another new favorite this week has been Ted Lasso on Apple Tv. Have you guys seen it? The language is definitely rated R, but Joey and I have been enjoying watching it together in the evenings after Addison goes to bed. Check it out, and let me know what you think.

We had to get our girl all better because we are leaving tomorrow morning to go to Florida with my Mom and Dad. Next week is our Fall Break! So, with that being said, I will be taking off from the blog for a week. I can’t wait to share all the things with you when I get back. I may post some on IG @rightupmyaliway. You can follow along with us there.

I hope you all have the best weekend and week!

    Aw, the poor thing! I am so glad that she’s feeling better and that they finally figured out what was wrong with her. High temps like that make me so nervous!
