**Friday Favorites** What a Week! {3.18.2022}

Well, it’s Friday, and this week started out smooth sailing. But about halfway, it took a dramatic turn.

Like the norm, I’m linking up with the blogs AlittlebitofEverything and Momfessionals and sharing our favorites from the week.

Monday, we had a normal day. I had to drop my car off at the shop to get some work done. Mom came and picked us up. She, of course, had to take little Miss for an ice cream run. Addison wasn’t complaining. Ice cream is a favorite.

Joey & I started watching “Pieces of Her” as our date night show. Have you guys seen it? It’s pretty intense and there are so many twists and turns. I have really enjoyed watching it.

Tuesday was Tie Dye day at school.

And, we had a Dentist appointment after school. She has the best Dentist with the cutest waiting area. No cavities and a good report are a favorite.

Wednesday, Sleeping Beauty did not want to get up! Me neither, girl.

It was Cap & Gown picture day for her, so we snapped a quick shot before we were both off to school.

We had a follow up ENT appointment that day, so we met Joey for lunch.

She was such a trooper at the ENT, after being poked and prodded, that I thought she deserved a treat. #crumblcookiesforthewin

We rushed back home and quickly got changed and back on the road to gymnastics. It was her official first day of class, and she was SOOOO Excited! She was jumping around so much, so giddy!

However, things took a turn for the worst. While jumping on the Tumbl track (trampoline runway thing), she landed on her leg wrong, and it made a very disturbing popping sound. And then came lots of pain for her. I rushed out there, quickly scooped her up, and we flew to Children’s Urgent Care. Joey hurried down to meet us.

She was in so much pain, and she was so brave. After some x-rays, they told us what we didn’t want to hear. She broke it right under her knee cap, her Tibia bone. 🙁

My poor sweet baby. They wrapped it up, gave her some strong pain medication, and sent us on to Atlanta to the big Children’s Hospital.

We are so lucky to have this wonderful hospital near us. They were very attentive, and the process was fairly easy. Even with the little bit of wait time, we were always moving between nurses, monitoring, and questions. They got her all casted up in pink with gold glitter (her request). We got home after 1 and slept rested as best we could.

Thursday morning, St. Patrick’s Day, I was not very prepared for the leprechaun. I quickly dug through some Christmas sprinkles to find the green and sprinkle them on a pancake. She was still a happy girl.

She finally received her card that she mailed herself from school last week. Getting personal mail is always a favorite.

And, since this brave girl didn’t get to go to school and wear her lucky shirt on St. Patrick’s day, we improvised on the couch. We had so many texts and a few visitors come by, and we are just so very thankful for all the prayers.

I have just a few more things today. Here are some things you may want to grab to start preparing for Spring Break.

I have this Bum Bum Cream.  It is great for tightening and smoothing skin. And, look at those awesome reviews. You will feel ready for any vacay after slathering this beauty on.

When I’m at the beach, or on vacation, I definitely don’t feel like wearing a full face of makeup. This Glowscreen by Supergoop is the perfect solution! It goes on like a primer and provides 40+ SPF protection. Plus it will give your skin an instant glow.

I also have it in the Matte Screen

If you’re searching for some new bathing suits and cover ups, check out this post. I shared some really cute ones from Amazon.

Get your feet and toes sandal ready…. use this foot peel. I did mine last week, and I had forgotten how much skin comes off. Once it does its thing, your feet will look and feel so much better!

So, we don’t have soccer anymore, so our weekend’s are becoming less busy. I hope you guys have a wonderful one, and we will be over here navigating through the crazy. 😉
