**Weekend Recap** {3.21.2022}

Well, it’s now officially Spring, and we had some beautiful sunshine this weekend, but it was still really windy and cool.

We had a camping trip planned this past weekend for a few weeks. Even after Addison broke her leg, Joey still thought we should go. So, we left after work on Friday and headed to the lake camping.

Addison supervised from the chair as we set up.

Addison’s sweet cousin, Lilah, sent her a care package. She was so excited!!

We played a little velcro ball and with the remote control car while we waited on our friends to arrive and start cooking.

Friday night, we grilled hamburgers and hotdogs, had chips, chili, and of course, made smores. The girls were happy, in their element, by the fire.

Here’s our sleeping beauty all propped up in bed.

We slept in until about 7, then I got right to work making breakfast. 🙂

This was the sunrise, over the lake, right outside our back window. It was so beautiful!

Charlee wanted to take Addison on a spin around the campground. Addison was living her best life.

The kiddos played with the frisbee and ball. We all huddled around the fire because it was chilly and the wind hurt. I cut up the vegetables for dinner and put on the baked potatoes to cook.

We decided to go on another pre dinner walk to try to prepare for a big dinner.

We got back to the camper, tried to get warm by the fire, and then started cooking. We grilled ribeye steaks, vegetables, and had baked potatoes. We were stuffed.

This firebowl was such a great and fun investment! We love it and use it all the time!

Less than an hour later, the girls were begging for smores. Ha!

We made hot chocolate too. It was the perfect for ending the night.

Yesterday morning, we slept until about 8. I started tidying up a little bit. Then, I stirred up some pancakes and cooked bacon and eggs.

We did one last walk around the park before packing up and heading home. Thankfully, it’s only about 20 minutes from our house.

When we got home, we began unloading and doing all the laundry. A little bit later, Joey’s Mom, Emma, Cindy, Corey, and Adalynn came over. They brought her some sweet goodies. She was so happy to see them! Sweet Adalynn signed her cast. 🙂

That’s it for our weekend. We have a lot of doctor’s appointments this week and hopefully Addison can get back to school this week. I hope ya’ll have a great start to your week!

On no. You’re poor baby! I sure hope she’s on the mend soon. Joey broke his arm when he was 2 and it healed fast. Kids are so resillient, Thank God! I know your Mama’s heart is hurting. Prayers for all of you ❤️
