Today, I’m doing a quick recap.  Friday, we had a special author, Bonnie Clark, close out our Read Across America week. She read her book, “Taste Your Words“. It was super cute! I would definitely order this for my classroom, if I still had my own classroom. I may even order it to read to Addison. Some teacher “volunteers” had to do a Jelly Bean Boozled challenge. Happy Monday Everybody! How was your weekend? We had a great one with so much fun! It just went by too fast!  I got a call Friday afternoon from Addison’s school about her eyes being red. I picked her up and took her to the doctor. They said she might have pink eye, so gave her some drops. In 12 hours, she was good to go, and not contagious! 🙂 For being a great patient, we headed to get her ice cream afterward.  Saturday morning, we had reservations for Addison and her cousin Adalynn to have an Elsa spa day. Hello Everybody! I can’t believe today is the last day of January! Craziness! Did you all have a good weekend? It was very cold here in Georgia, so I’m sure if you live North of me, it was very cold where you live. Today, I’m doing a recap of our weekend. Hey Hey Everybody! We are already back to a Monday. The weekends always fly by.  I’m sharing what little we were up to this weekend.  It started out pretty awesome because I felt like I needed some chocolate cookies in my life.  It was really cold Friday night, so Joey built a fire. It was a game night kind of night. We played some Hungry, Hungry Hippo and Zingo. Zingo is always my gift to recommend to any toddler between the ages of 3 & 5. Hey Everybody! I can’t believe our weekend is over, and it’s already Monday. We had a fantastic fun-filled weekend. It was slammed full of Christmas fun; the best kind of weekend.  Friday was pajama day at Addison’s school. She was up early searching for Elfie.  Friday night, we headed to our nearby town for an awesome Christmas parade. It was so much fun, and the weather was perfect!  It was packed.  All the floats were so beautifully decorated.  There were so many lit up trucks.  Some of the floats even had blowing “snow”.  This float was probably my favorite. Happy Monday! How is everyone doing today? We are still getting over the Turkey coma and all the shopping. We just have 3 weeks until Christmas break, and we are really feeling the Christmas spirit around here.  I’m sharing everything that happened over our weekend.  Friday, I woke up really early at 3:30 and headed out with Joey’s Mom and sisters to shop until we dropped. Today is a special day. Today, at 11:16 pm, 5 years ago, Addison Faith Hughes was born. She had a wild entrance into this world and has not slowed down since. She came screaming out and hasn’t stopped. We prayed for her for a long time and God answered our prayers.  She is spunky and full of personality. She keeps us rolling with her funny sayings. We are truly blessed she is in our lives. Some days are hard.
