**Let’s Look At…… How I do ‘Every Day’ Cleaning** {8.10.2022}
Hey, Hey Wednesday!! How’s everyone today? I cannot believe it’s already time for another Let’s Look Linkup. I am excited because I’m linking up with Shay from MixandMatchMama and Erika from ALittleBitofEverything and talking about how I do ‘every day’ cleaning. And I can’t wait to read what tricks ya’ll have!
With both Joey and I working 40+ hours a week, trying to keep a house tidy and spotless can be exhausting. Here are some things I use and tricks I do to help keep us rolling along.
The Roomba, which we have named Rosie, is on a timer to run 3-4 times a week while we are not home. Overall, she does a great job. However, there are some days we will have to hunt her down or her battery dies before she makes it back to her dock. All in all, it helps keep the floors dust and dirt free. This is the one we have, but there are lots of other models, here. They’re on sale right now!
After meals, I use my Shark Stick vacuum to clean under the table and in the kitchen. Sometimes, I will roll it over the high traffic areas and around the door that comes in from the garage. This is the best thing because it’s quick, and it gets the job done.
I use my Microfiber Mop and Citrus Pro Care Hardwood cleaner once a week to mop our hardwoods.
We got a new Speed Queen Washer & Dryer set last year, and it has been wonderful! They are of great quality and reliable. They do the job and do it quickly and efficiently which is what everyone needs! I try to do a couple loads of laundry through the week, and then try to do a couple loads Friday night, so I don’t have to do a ton of laundry on the weekend. The weekend is for relaxing, not loads of laundry. 😉
I feel like I can’t rest until I tidy up every night and get everything ready to go for the next day. I don’t like to leave mail and clutter just lying around. I like to fold all the blankets, so they’re not in disarray on the couch, and I like to fluff the pillows and put them in place.
After our each meal, I go ahead and wash all the dishes and put them in the dishwasher. I don’t want to go along with my day or go to bed with dishes still in the sink. I will stress about it. I also take this time to wipe down the kitchen counter tops and stove top area.
I always make my bed in the morning. If Joey is asleep when I leave the house, he doesn’t always make the bed, and it drives me crazy. I feel much better with myself, and the appearance of our bedroom, if the bed is made.
A lot of these are showing my OCD tendencies/Type A personality. Ha! 😉
That’s it for today. I can’t wait to read about any tricks you share to help with cleaning.
Here are the topics for the year. Next month’s topic… How I Organize My Closet.

I dream of having all hardwood floors someday and then the roomba will be a must. 😉

I am a bed maker, too! I have converted my husband to an avid bed maker and it’s great! My boys have loft beds so they don’t make them but I can’t see it. Ha. We need to use our roomba more. It’s such an easy way to do the floors!
