**Let’s Look At…. My Worst Habits** {8.9.2023}

Happy Happy Wednesday!! On the second Wednesday of every month, I link up with Shay from MixandMatchMama and Erika from ALittleBitofEverything. Today we are talking about my Worst Habits.

I had to ask Joey what some of my worst habits are because I know I’m perfect. Haha! Not really.

I tend to be really tough on myself and am my own worst critic. I guess I need to have more positive self-talk. I need to not be so hard on myself. 🙂

I really need to work on having off time for just family. I work and work and work on school things, home things and blog things, but I need to be more intentional in taking time off. I know time goes by so fast, and I need not to be so hard on myself but also need to take time to just play and spend time with my family.

Being a very Type-A, OCD person, Joey would say that I nag him a little much. Haha! I really do try not to do this because I know it can be annoying. So, I know that this is one of my worst habits. I have been known to walk around with a magic eraser and wipe everything down. 😉

And them some other bad habits that aren’t really bad, but I know I could do better.

** I chew gum ALL the time! It’s an addiction really. I like to have it at all times.

** I like to drink sweet tea & coke zero

** I don’t like leaving voicemails or listening to voicemails. I will see your Missed Call, and hopefully will remember to call you back. Haha! But, I am probably NOT going to listen to your message. Sorry… 😉

** I need to learn to say “no” more. My colleagues are always reminding me, “Alison, no! Say no!” But it’s really hard for me. I have the best school and team ever though. They help me say no! Haha!

If you missed it, here are the topics so far, for the year. Next month’s topic… Our Evening Routine.

And here are all my Let’s Look posts from this year.

    Yes! Say “no”! I know, MUCH easier to say then to do. This is how I learned: I wrote down our family’s top three priorities. Each time something was asked of me, I weighed it against those….dinner at home 5 nights a week, Sundays are family days, and no electronics at the table. Now, when presented with an option I could look and see if it interfered with tHose three promises I made to my family. Much easier to say “no” to someone else when I had already said “yes” to my family. OR, if it was a scrapbooking weekend, would I be home by Sunday and would my family be able to eat at home when I was gone….easier to make that choice now 🙂
    Thanks for sharing – this is a vulnerable post to make. We have been w/out internet for 2 days due to the storms that passed through our area Monday so no blogging for me – next time.

    I am guitly of not taking the time to be more present with my kids and I am a stay at homemom. I get lost in the every day cooking, cleaning, baking, laudnry, etc of life. I have been more present this summer and letting the other things go. It has been a hard change though.
